I'll tell you the things that have made overlooking the egregious (even for Bethesda) bugs - the people.
#Cool fallout 76 builds mods
I figured perhaps I'd pick it up after a year or something when private servers and mods made it work.īut now I'm about to stuff Bethesda in the same bag as EA and Activision, there are limits to how much scumbag behavior I'm willing to reward with my money, so I don't care if it ends up being a good game.įor those waiting to see - keep an eye out. I was very mildly interested but figured I'd keep an eye on it, I expected it to be broken on release because it's a Bethesda game so of course it's going to be broken. If anything they could have just sold the empty bottles and let people put whatever they want it them, most merch liquor tends to be pretty dismal anyway in my experience, be it from games or otherwise.Īnyways I'm pretty much in Pampel's CAMP (geddit?).
#Cool fallout 76 builds plus
Plus seriously: when you buy a bottle of booze and complain about the bottle and not the contents you've got you priorities wrong.Įhh, I'm sorry but it's fairly obvious the bottle was the point, if someone just wanted good rum there are plenty of brands out there, most likely better ones (disclaimer, I haven't drunk that particular rum nor am I a big rum person) at better prices. It's different than any other FO game I played and the lack of cheats took some getting used to (carryweight 5000 for the win!) along with VATS and pausing. Plus seriously: when you buy a bottle of booze and complain about the bottle and not the contents you've got you priorities wrong. Still 2018 was the worst for the the stuff I did get (Bard's tale and PoE2) and not surprising 76 followed suit. Looking back to FO4 that one was garbage too but the halo affect covered that up. Also since you can't pause the world it would be nice to hit a Pulowski Preservation shelter and be removed from the action (but not world) while you stepped away for a few minutes IRL by throwing a few caps in it.Īs for the physical stuff that whole segment has been in decline for years. From a technical standpoint the server is still using the same memory for one. One thing I'm not a fan of is the "essential items" (meds/ammo) having weight. The survival aspect was a little jarring until I got in the groove and figured out what to do and not to do. Seriously fire a few bullets during the after-event and just stay alive - the results are worth it. Griefers and trolls I haven't run into and nuke blasts are something you tend to seek out rather than avoid. It's because you can't affect the game like you did with prior games as it's not *your* world anymore. It really hit me when I did a quest involving turning the water on somewhere you'd expect to see the impact and didn't. One thing that took me a while to fully understand and adapt to was this cannot ever be a preceding FO game just with online added.

I got back into it after a few week hiatus and it's really starting to gel for me.
